Kimber's 2nd Cowgirl Party

Our granddaughter, Kimber, turned two years old. She chose a cowgirl party and we were honored to be able to have it at the farm. Gramps built a western set for the party out of old pallets and we had a great time.

We chose cute little cowgirl plates in pink of course and had pink bandanas for napkins. The food was a good old fashioned cowgirl cook out on the fire pit with hot dogs, hamburgers, chili and baked beans.

Kimber's cake was ordered from a friend and it turned out super. We were also celebrating a few other family birthdays so we made extra cakes and cupcakes for a variety of choices. One being this pig in mud cake made with Kit Kat bars. The cake was very good however it split after I got it together. most of the time that would have been a terrible thing to happen but on this cake it added to the feel of a mud bath for the pigs so we just went with it. It kind of looked like the pig was swimming and left a trail in the mud :-)

For party favors we made cowgirl cookies for the guest to take home.

And the sheriff badges from the cupcakes.

Horse Shoe shaped cookies........and chocolate and strawberry milk in glass bottles......

We also had old fashioned coke and root beer in glass bottles.

For games and activities we made some stick horses out of colorful socks and dowels and had races.

We also had a photo booth with wanted poster for the guest to get their pictures made in.

We played a ring toss game and panned for gold.

Gold painted rocks were the treasure to find.

Hay bales made for setting the atmosphere and a great shot for pictures.

And there you have the cutest little cowgirl in town!
